Apologies, I’m posting here for traffic!

This Christmas is our second without my dad, now we’re a family of 3 (ages 69, 33 and 30) and I find filling Christmas and Boxing Day is a bit of a struggle.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for what we can do fill the time? To give an idea of last year...
Woke up
Came downstairs and had breakfast
Opened presents
(Lull)
Started cooking lunch
Ate lunch around 3pm
Watched home movies
Played Jenga
Mum went to bed at 6 because my brother’s cocktails were too lethal
Brother and I played games for a bit longer, both quite bored at this point
Went to bed at 9pm

Boxing Day we did a dog walk and then sat around watching tv Xmas Hmm

I just want to have things up my sleeve for when we inevitably get bored! I think we all drank so much last year because there wasn’t much else to do. I know it’s horrible to say it but I dread Christmas so much. With 3 adults and no kids it does tend to drag on Sad I just want us all to have fun!

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated

Games like Articulate, Taboo, Charades, Speak out, Pie face are great for kids and adults alike. Don't let not having kids put you off, find -and spoil- your inner child 😜
Perudo us a good dice game, sedate, but gets the brain thinking.

Maybe invest in a sushi making kit and all have a go at making snacks.
Chocolate roulette? Oneisfilledwith chilli 😱

Take a drive somewhere interesting to walk the dogs, play scavenger hunt bingo - cards with things you might see on your walk ; Robin, oak tree, fruit tree, squirrel, horses, ancient ruin, monument etc. Person with least pays a forfeit (sings 12 days of Xmas with actions) etc.

We've had crackers that have bells inside and music sheets so you can ring out a few Christmas tunes, they're good for a laugh.

What else 🤔 Smelliest cheese/most unusual food item competition -everyone brings something.

photo props, you can buy packs with cardboard antlers/hats/ speech bubbles etc. Take some interesting pics for the family album.

Sing along Christmas carols. Printout some lyrics, oruse YouTube. You can get fireplace dvds for telly if you've not got a real fireplace, have a proper sing song andgive it your all if you do All I Want for Christmas 😜👍

Hope you find what works for you, have a fab christmas 🎄
