To spend Christmas.....

Alone, in bed having a duvet day watching rubbish films and eating even worse food?

Everyone seems to think I need to be somewhere with someone but if I’m honest I just wanna curl up in bed alone and enjoy the peace and quiet of not having any flatmates home

I’m being unreasonable and a grinch aren’t I?

That sounds brilliant! Go for it (but have somewhere to go later for a drink if you feel you need some company).

DH, DS & I are having a similar Christmas Day & Boxing Day, we’ve refused all invites (bar seeing ILs and my siblings for an hour Xmas morning).

We fully intend being back home in PJ’s by 1pm at the very latest. And we will be, I will make it happen!

Sounds great! I’m a single parent and often have sympathy invites, last year a friend was on her own and insisted we must be lonely and we duly attended hers, for her benefit not ours. This year I’ve been vocal about how I’m looking forward to staying home Smile it’s nice they care but also a little irritating.

I wish I could do that Christmas day and boxing day has been arranged for me and I just want to be left alone with my cats.

I’m glad it’s not me being a grinch 😊

I'd do the same OP! Lovely! Some of us don't need company on ANY day.
