dh also calls me a pet name based on my first name, never an endearment, it is nice.

Yes you’ve got it! Knowing looks wink wink lets get shot of the family and go and fuck like bunnies

Has it’s place but over Xmas lunch.....

The names I can concede is bearable its what they call each other which is nice and sweet

I guess my real issue is the overt ness of it all ‘look we call each other bunny as we have a rampant sex life’ coupled with every room in the house has bunny items in it as a constant reminder in case we forget what they are telling us

Her kids come back from uni mortified and embarrassed each holiday with a ‘guess what they’ve bought now’

The house has even been renamed ‘the warren’ we cannot escape it!

Me & OH are in our 50s and have pet names for each other. I don't want to shock you, but... post-50 you're not dead from the neck down, and you can have a laugh with each other too. And shhhh...S-E-X. Yes, I bet the kids have worked out bunny is sex-related..you with hints and cats bumface about it may have helped, perchance...?

They must be lovely, happy people though as they haven't told you to get the hell out of their house and mind your own business. Go on, live a little..buy yourself a fluffy bunny and be happy☺️

Why hasn't anyone done Rampant Rabbit jokes yet? MN is slipping..or I've missed it...
