Just read an article in the fail and there's a woman repeatedly saying how she loves her dog more than her son and husband. What an absolutely batshit individual. Not only that but how flipping awful for her son who will read that and have all his friends read that. Absolute loon, she should he ashamed

Awww, thanks guys. Flowers It has stayed with me, that one. These things do - feeling that your own bloody parent doesn't love you does appalling things to your self-worth.

There are some things most of us never have to even consider
( ie Sophies Choice - whiskyowl that was vile of your mother...)

and some things most of us never think
ie I love my pet / job / hobby more than my H / kids etc

But even if you do, you don't say it to children. Ever.

Don't miss The Fail tomorrow for "Shock! Horror!! Heartless mum loves elf on the shelf more than her own child!! Disgraceful!!!!"

Wherever there is a readership for this type of nonsense, The Fail will never fail to find some sad attention seeker to duly oblige.

These things stay with children for a long, long time. My Mum once told me straight up that if she was facing Sophie's Choice I would be the one for the gas chambers because she would immediately reach for my sister.

That's one of the most downright, nasty things I have ever read. WHY would you even think that, let alone tell that to your own child? I am so sorry.

Apparently Samantha Brick did her stunt because they desperately needed money for fertility treatments. She didn't hurt anyone, just brought on a huge amount of ridicule on herself.

MargaretCavendish · 18/12/2017 11:53

That's really sad thecats - but as you say, very different because she didn't humiliate anyone else along the way. I can imagine situations in which I'd humiliate myself for money, as she did, but I can't imagine putting a price on publicly saying nasty things about my children or any other loved one.
