HELP POO STUCK

sorry for posting here but don't know what to do. 2 year old is has poo stuck and is hurting him. I can see it sticking out and it is hurting him he can't sit down but I can't get it out

Try a wet warm cloth pressed again his bottom. It works. I don’t know how or why but it does...

Don't give him all that sugar and water: gross. It won't have any effect on a poo that's already half-way out of the bowel. Lactulose doesn't even have an immediate effect like that, it makes the poo softer by drawing more water into it while it's in the intestines, not while it's already on it's way out. Old wives tail indeed!

This happened to one of mine once. GP said later that OK, it's not very nice, but put some Vaseline on your finger and gently winkle it out.
At the time - late at night! - I think we got a suppository from a pharmacy - this was not in the UK, I don't know how readily available they'd be here. But it did work.
