Just curious about if I'm only the only one sooo behind. No food, no presents! OMG Aibu or crazy?

YANBU. I started on Friday night, writing lists. Ordered everything online yesterday, including the beef fillet for our beef wellington on Christmas Day. Will buy non perishable food/drink midweek, and perishables during the night on Fri. Job done!

It's not so bad, honestly! I started on Friday! I'd online click and collect food, and as many presents from argos- also click and collect.
Head to town during the day if possible to pick up the rest!

You're not the only one. I have morning sickness and I'm feeling pretty grim, so Christmas isn't my priority. All my Christmas shopping will get done on Saturday, after I get paid. I don't even have my tree up because we've lost the voltage adaptor for the lights. As for food, I haven't bought anything because we still haven't decided whether we're having Christmas Day at hours or going to see family.

I was feeling very smug this year, all presents bought and wrapped, cards all written and sent, Christmas visits done. Suddenly I got landed with taking the grandchildren to do their Christmas shopping (don't ask me how I think it was a Jedi mind trick) and my reward for this? The kids asked me to do the wrapping for them as they had to rush off as tickets booked for panto with mum. That'll teach me to be smug.

It's a roast dinner and a few presents.

How long do.people need?

Shops are only shut for 2 days.

grannytomine · 17/12/2017 21:58

Depends how many presents you have to buy. My children, their partners and children add up to 14 and there are my siblings and nieces and nephews not to mention DH. Then they all need wrapping and delivering.
