Kendall Mint cake!

I was chomping on it to ease morning sickness and gave her a bit and she loved it...! Surely all that sugar can't do her too much harm!

(have been dying to find a reason to start an AIBU thread!)

if she enjoyed it, and she has since brushed her teeth, then a little bit is not unreasonable.

chirpygirl · 21/04/2007 21:33

14 months
but she has a nasty cold so needs comfort food!

LOL at spurious AIBU thread!

Of course not. My DS swiped a dark chocolate from a box yesterday and ate the whole thing (he's 1) - can't tell if it made him more lively because the child never stands still anyway!

When are you due?

ViscountessPetitLapin · 21/04/2007 21:36

Did you ever have a Yorks peppermint Pattie?

They are swoonsomely delish!

chirpygirl · 21/04/2007 21:43

I'm due in October so am 16 weeks and this damn sickness doesn't want to bugger off!

She's actually off her food so am trying to get anything down her so she doesn't waste away...so I have not much guilt and yes, it is a very spurious AIBU thread

She was very funny, she shoved it in her mouth and made yummy noises and then the peppermint hit and her face was hysterical, it was like 'what the fuck is this! it's hmmmm...actually.... it's quite nice, can I have some more?!'

She had a choccy digestive biscuit yesterday, DH thought he had been sly and given her half of his but she had chocolate all over her face that he hadn't wiped off and thought I wouldn't notice!

Hmm it is a slippery slope y'know -it starts with harmless mint cake and before you know it will spiral into a fruit shoot & gregg's sausage roll addiction...money will be going missing from your purse as your DC funds the habit

chocolattegirl · 21/04/2007 21:54

I gave my dd candy floss aged 1 but I think that she thought it was cotton wool and played with it until it went hard and yucky - she didn't even taste it (she was quite 'cynical' about new foods as a baby and used to take it out of her mouth and hand it to me if it didn't pass muster)!!

Didn't stop her wolfing down 1/4 of a bag of candy floss this afternoon .

Candy floss - truly one of the most bizarre foodstuffs ever invented. We love it. Fortunately the fair only visits twice a year. Otherwise we'd all have teeth like Mrs Miggins. Or Shane MacGowan.

Kendall Mint Cake wouldn't have done much for me when I was pg - I hate mint in any form other than in mint sauce .

Funnily enough I dislike ginger as well (it makes me gag) so it was as well my m/s didn't last too long.

chirpygirl · 22/04/2007 10:27

Ginger makes me gag too, especially when people throw ginger biscuits at you trying to help!

And now I want candy floss...hmmm...where am I goign to get that from?!

Furrymummy · 22/04/2007 10:31

Yes, I might try the Kendell mint cake as well - another non-ginger fan here, I can't stand it! Lucky m/s is not too bad atm!

chirpygirl · 22/04/2007 10:37

Feeling better today, but if DH asks I am still sick and need feeding
