A few of my friends send out pictures of their dc on the front of a xmas card. I love getting them but dh thinks they are abut showy. Why showy? It is too smiling toothy kids. Why would you not like them?

Honestly i would happily send a tacky photo Christmas card this year....anything is better than the shitty one ds "designed" at school and insisted we buy.

Does it make me a terrible parent that i pretended we had missed the deadline for ordering?

Nobody I know dies this.

I think it is cringey, but each to their own. I am not a massive fan of Christmas cards in general anyway.

Personally, I wouldn’t want one.

But that is only because I could never throw it away and would end up keeping it in a box for all eternity and I don’t have a massive house!

^^to add, one or two would be fine but if everyone I knew started sending them every year that would end up quite a collection!

I think they are actually quite nice for family members to receive. 🙂

However, we have only ever received 2 Christmas photo cards and both were from people who are only really, “ Acquaintances “ as opposed to real friends and I must admit to finding these felt a bit, “Social Climby”,
for some strange reason. 🤔

Ok for other family members but other than that showy and smug.
