Ask them publicly on social media?

Lucked · 12/12/2017 21:04

Name them here? Someone might have info.

Neverender · 12/12/2017 21:05

Yep, name em. Or goggle the CEO and write to them directly. Find out if they have a regulator/ombudsman. What kind of service is it?

IvorBiggun · 12/12/2017 21:07

Depends if it’s a regulated business where you can appeal to a professional or government body.

If not, you can make a complaint to the company by writing to them and if you don’t get anywhere your only option may be legal action through the civil courts.

What’s happened?

Thurlow · 12/12/2017 21:09

What's happened? Can you summarise what has gone on so far?

BornInSydneyy · 12/12/2017 21:10

It was a facial treatment.

I’ve tried to get in contact with the doctor but she won’t return my calls.

I’m guessing it will have to be a small claims thing Sad never done it before and finding the thought of it unnerving

Was this the Harley Street clinic who tried to scare you off the first time you complained? If so there should be some sort of governing body you could address your complaint to before taking it to small claims court { are they actually claim it to be a medical doctor (dermatologist), or registered, qualified therapist of some sort?

Auspiciouspanda · 12/12/2017 21:15

Did you not receive the refund they stated they actioned?

IvorBiggun · 12/12/2017 21:15

Doctors are incredibly heavily regulated so you can complain to their professional body/bodies if they won’t deal with you direct.

BornInSydneyy · 12/12/2017 21:32

Can I? I tried to look online but it seems most of the governing bodies only deal with the nhs?

Also I wasn’t injured. Just scammed. Sad

What exactly is she claiming to be?

mumonashoestring · 12/12/2017 21:41

Or rather, if you don't want to be specific, if she's claiming to be a doctor it doesn't matter if she's NHS or private, she should be GMC registered. You can check at www.gmc-uk.org/doctors/register/LRMP.asp

Otherwise the Federation of Holistic Therapists might be able to offer some advice about governance/regulation although it's a lot less strict for therapy practitioners than doctors.
