It's unlikely, but I really wish we'd have enough snow day for a snow day - or is it just me being work shy?! Grin

I really really want a snow day. Not just a bit, that makes walking and driving difficult and snows in some teachers, but school stays open; but a huge dump tonight. Sadly, though it's bitter, none forecast. Boooooo!
We all talk fondly of the famous Snow Week of 2010. 🌨🌨🌨❄️❄️❄️☃☃☃❄️❄️❄️🌨🌨🌨

I WFH at the moment, so not too bothered.

But, in the past I would have loved it

And I am secretly hoping that it will be too bad for DP to drive to work so we can hang out together :D

Quite a lot of the schools in this area have already declared that they are closed tomorrow. I expect the rest of them will follow shortly.

FitBitFanClub · 10/12/2017 18:50

My Head Teacher NEVER closes he school, but has done for tomorrow. (Herts)

mishfish · 10/12/2017 18:51

DP got a snow day today because none of the managers could make it to his work place. Made his weekend!

Loverunandwine · 10/12/2017 18:51

Do you remember 2009 in London when there was loads of snow and an actual snow day happened. Everyone just went to the pub-amazing day!!!

Luckymummy22 · 10/12/2017 19:10

School shut here tomorrow. But hubby can do childcare. I don’t fancy driving though so plan on working from home

JackietheBackie · 10/12/2017 19:13

I hope not. It is my last chance to get my Christmas shopping done as I am working solidly between now and Christmas.

Wauden · 10/12/2017 19:33

It was a snow day for my internet delivery supermarket...The delivery van got stuck in snow this morning, so no food delivery for us! Luckily, there is a shop nearby.

CremeBrulee · 10/12/2017 19:40

It’s DDs birthday tomorrow and she is desperate for a snow day! Have had a lot of snow here (rural Essex). Pretty sure school will be open though.

cloudyweewee · 10/12/2017 19:49

All schools in Birmingham are closed tomorrow so that's me sorted Grin

Iwantacampervan · 11/12/2017 06:49

Still raining here! Happy birthday to CremeBrulee's DD - hope she has a good day at school or at home - it's my birthday too today and only once have I had snow on the day (my daughters are wishing that we lived in another area of the country so they could have a snow day).

No, I live in Yorkshire, we are not deprived of snow. I work from home but the rest of the family have to commute considerable distances to get to work, people rely on them. NHS and transport, without them there us no food on the shelves or carers in hospital.

If you are specifically talking about a school snow day then yes, I agree. If only For respite from entitled PiA parents blocking my drive with their shit parking so they don't have to walk more than twenty feet to collect their snowflakes.
