Parents of reception children - Do they all get sickness bugs??

My DS started reception this year and I have been told over and over to expect illnesses, including the dreaded sickness bugs (I'm severely emetophobic!)
One of the mums has just text me to say her little boy (year 1 but in the same classroom) has been sent home today with a headache which has turned into a tummy bug.
We are bound to get it aren't we? From what I hear and what I've read, it would seem that most reception children have had a stomach bug this term as it is rife and I'm just so terrified of it!
I sound pathetic and have tried so many things to get over this, but it's ruining my life at the moment!
If you have kids in reception, have yours had a stomach bug yet since September?
All other experience much appreciated too!

DS1 was in Reception last year. He had one episode of vomiting, which was caused by overindulging in sweet party food.

There is a D&V bug sweeping through Reception at my children's school at the moment and my youngest DD (4) got it too, but she only had diarrhoea so at least it was easily contained! My older children haven't had such a bug for years now, so it should become less of a problem for you in a couple of years.

No, DS (Y4) has never had a day off school and neither has DD (Y1). Iron constitutions!

Another Emetophobic here. I have one DD 20 months, it’s hard going isn’t it? I feel constantly anxious as well as being aware I don’t want to pass my fears on to her.
GP has referred me for CBT so fingers crossed. I have also had hypnotherapy

Another child was sick on DD but DD has never had a stomach bug from school. (She’s in year 2.)

No tummy bugs in 7 years at primary school and only the odd cold. Cast iron constitution my son
