To be cross at the idiot father at nursery

Is it just me is was this persons behaviour out of order - the nursery my son goes to is terrible for parking but we all get by. Anyway the spaces are to small to park and have enough room to get kids into there setas so inevitibily people park slightly over the lines causing a ripple effect on all other cars. Anyway yesterday I parked slightly over the line (1 inch) to alloe the car to my left enough room to open their doors - they were parked slightly over and the car on my right parked so close to my door that you couldn't even turn round in the gap let alone open the door. The guy came out and started laying into me about parking over the line - he was in the end space and could have parked at least a foot in the other direction. Basically he was just spoiling for a fight and picked me. Not one to back down I explained why I had done this and suggested he should have parked a little over and asked why he was being so hostile. After a little debate he moved his car and informed me i should leave now. I felt quite threatened - enough to ensure there was a good physical gap between so he couldn't touch me. I have compalined to the nursery today who have taken it seriously but I just can't get over why anyone would be so petty. Is it just me?

Sorry for the ramble!!!!

He sounds like a twonk. I had this from a woman at Waitrose once - she wanted to pick a fight because I had parked slightly over the line. If she had engaged her brain she would have seen that I was compensating for the parking of my immediate neighbour to my left (who had also parked over the line)

Muppets!

Not just you.Arrogant Sod!
He's prob one of those horrid men who think you need a penis to drive. And by the sounds on his rant a small one to try to bully you in such a way
I hate people like this.

shall bump this for you....

CS1753 · 20/04/2007 11:17

Thanks guys. I was also really shocked that this guy did it in from of our kids both between 3 and 4 years old and in the same group at nursery - the kid is even invited to my ds's b'day in May - don't know what to do, don't want to penalise the child or mother for his behaviour but really don't want that man there.

ohh that's awkward.
I'm not the best for advice on this as I always tend to overreact.
do you see him regularly at nursery or was this a one of.

CS1753 · 20/04/2007 12:47

First time I can remember seeing him, normally the mother that picks the kid up.

It will prob be the mum that brings child to party. He prob won't show his mug

HandbagAddiction · 20/04/2007 12:54

This sounds so like our nursery car park where the parking antics of some people need to be seen to be believed!! So, you're not Godalming based by any chance are you?

Oh and if you are.......I'm female, so it wasn't me!!!

Furrymummy · 20/04/2007 15:04

Hell no! What an arse! There is no excuse for such behaviour.
Still, you think that a nursery would have wider spaces! But that's a topic for another debate...

"He informed you you shoudl leave now" Just be glad he's not your child's dad.
