I am probably being a sleep deprived scrooge but there he is on his sleigh with 1000000 decibel christmas tunes blasting Xmas Angry

Its half past 8, a school night and my DD is ill which obviously he should already know being santa.

He's been at mine too Grin

This used to make me cross when DC were younger - once they were asleep, i did not take kindly to anyone or anything that threatened to wake them!

Now I love it, and DC think I'm mad!

Hope your lo is better soon op. X

I used to love this when I was a child but when I had my own children I thought it had died out. Only to discover now I am a grandparent and through Facebook it has happened every single year. But we did not live in a posh enough area for the rotary club to bother visiting.

In 50 years they have never once been round a council estate or terraced housing area. Only the posh privately owned areas.

Now it just leaves a nasty taste in my mouth and I will never donate to a rotary club fundraiser again. I work for a charity and we will not accept their donations anymore either.

It just causes bad feeling in our town and is very divisive.

Round table santa was one of my favourite things on the run up to Christmas when I was little. Xmas Smile

I love the Round Table bringing Santa round. I'll never forget the first year that we realised it happened where we lived, we (hubby and I) were sat in our crappy rented bungalow with a new baby having had our first house purchase fall through and I heard Christmas music. Looked outside (wondering what idiot was blasting Christmas music out of their stereo) to find Santa outside! Our daughter was just two months old and it was magical, she's now 12 and still loves it when Santa comes round. Our Santa is high-tech now and has a Santa tracker on his sleigh!

Although he only comes round between 6-8 on school nights and 4-6 at the weekend!

2gorgeousboys · 05/12/2017 22:49

He definitely comes to our North Yorkshire town and surrounding villages (on an evening or weekend depending on where you are on that years list). The council estate and terraced streets are definitely included!

Santa's visits with so moaning about how much 6 celebration had just cost him was a tradition when we lived back in York another reason to miss the place
