To ask do you tidy up after yourself?

Been in McDonald's today people watching. I always make sure that everything goes back on to the tray or bag then either a member of staff will take it off me as I have the pushchair or i do it.

Just surprised how many people leave food scattered over the floor and table , rubbish everywhere. Table next to us was three adults and 1 toddler so plenty of hands to tidy up but they just walked out leaving carnage.

So do most people tidy or leave it? And if you leave it are you not embarrassed?

I think its accepted that you only clean up at fast food ""restaurants"" and possibly plate pile at cafes, pubs etc not the fine dining Italian in town

" I can understand why you wouldn't lift someone else's stuff, but would think you're a slob if you don't clear your own stuff off the floor. I don't mean spotless, but at least the bigger bits."

The bigger bits can alert people that it may be slippy and they are the easiest to tidy up, anyway. It also means that the Staff can spot where needs doing.

I always clean up after myself in somewhere like McDonalds, food court etc. In a restaurant with table service then a member of staff collects plates.

Costa Coffee annoys me because there's nowhere to put your rubbish and used trays, so any available tables always end up full of stuff and there's never a staff member going round clearing tables.

I would have told off the woman for telling her kid to chuck the crisp packet in the canal. That is outrageous.

Mike, I know. I should have said something but I expected a mouthful of abuse or worse if I'd tried and didn't want that in front of my baby.
Plus I'm a massive wuss Blush

Can never understand how people manage to pull loads of toilet paper off in shopping centre bathrooms and scatter all over the floor. Can they not see the mess? My local one has fab facilities and there are staff in and out to check . Yet it can become a mess with scattered paper in a few minutes. Drives me crazy..the lack of respect.
