i've been trying to find them for years but never have any luck. used to get them in the late 90's. they were really small hard round sweets (about the size of mini smarties?) bright colours and fruit flavours.

i can remember eating them out of a paper bag so i think they were either from a pick and mix or in a big tub in the corner shop.

dm said she thought they were called "millions and trillions" but any google search just brings up millions.

anyone got any ideas?

Mynametodaywillbe · 04/12/2017 21:09

I can remember something brightly coloured and round that you bought out of jars but they were very small balls (not Millions).

Marble sized.

Pickleypickles · 04/12/2017 21:15

I have a slight 90's sweet addiction Blush

Mynametodaywillbe · 04/12/2017 21:16

Gobstoppers are hard and nearly as big as a marble though. I remember sweets that looked like your picture but were much smaller and you could crunch them.

orangegrape · 04/12/2017 21:17

ahh yes myname i think we are on about the same ones. marble sized is a lot bigger than these hmmm it continues...

Gobstoppers are a lot bigger than a mini Smartie. Runts were much smaller and you could crunch them easily.

Gobstoppers changed colour as you ate them?

orangegrape · 04/12/2017 21:18

just looked at runts and the ones i had were all small round not fruit shaped

I remember sweets which looked like your picture. They had a crunchy shell but bubble gum inside. You could buy them from a sweet shop but also came in the bottom of ice creams. Could this be what you're thinking of?

orangegrape · 04/12/2017 21:20

i know what you're thinking of violet but these were hard all the way through. definitely crunchy if you bit them
