Neighbours opposite with flashy blue Christmas lughts

Draping Icicles dangling from their roof, bright blue, and flashing. 24. Hours. A. Day.
I don’t care during the day, I don’t care too much in the evening... but when it’s the middle of the night and you think there is a constant police car outside it is starting to grate on me!!!!!!!

AIBAS (Am I being a Scrooge) to ask them to turn them off when they go to bed?!

I'm pleased to report that when we went to bed at 11.00pm last night, all our neighbours with Christmas lights had turned them off!! Smile Star

Another vote for just asking them. 10pm would be reasonable. Or 9pm.

heron98 · 04/12/2017 12:36

Have you asked them? Surely that's the first port of call. They probably have no idea.

My neighbour came round and told me that my alarm clock was waking her up at 5am and could I do anything about it. So now I just set my phone to vibrate to wake me.

If she hadn't told me I'd have had no idea.

Why oh why do lights have flashing as the default mode? I hate it. A simple twinkle or static should be the norm really.

I was going to post the link to David Thorne but I see wasonthelist beat me to it.

Hell, I'll post it again in case anyone missed it. Tis a work of sheer comedy genius:
