To think this taxi driver was in the wrong?

Booked a taxi by app to go to the train station. Got in the taxi and he said so you’re going to the train station?

Half way there he said I’d picked a different destination and that’s why the journey was cheaper. I apologised and said I’d always selected that destination on the app and no one taxi driver had ever mentioned it.

He then dropped me off outside of the taxi office and demanded I pay him more (fare was paid for by card) and I said I didn’t have any money (true).

I said well take me into your office then and I’ll pay the rest on my card and he quickly changed his mind.

He was genuinely horrible to me, lecturing me and he didn’t even drop me off at the station anyway.

I’m very open minded and you’re clearly not. I also wouldn’t feel embarrassed paying on my card because I don’t care what the stranger serving me thinks.

I’m also not sure what you think I’m shocked at what you said. More baffled that you care so much what people think.

I'm still confused over what went wrong. Are there two entrances/exits to the train station, or something? Sounds like the problem is with the map app.

Anyway, it's pretty clear he was trying it on (didn't want you to go inside the office). I'd avoid that company again.

SilverySurfer aren't you the one that is too embarrassed to pay by card for something small? Most people don't carry money now because nearly everything can be bought by card now, and for small purchases you don't even need your pin. It's the future sweetie.

On the app for our cab service it only lets you put in one destination for the local big hospital yet there are many entrances and some are quite a distance from there. I suspect it's the same sort of thing. It's very annoying.
