To ask who has the oldest non-cleaned wedding dress

I was just looking in the wardrobe today where I hide my Christmas presents, and saw my wedding dress hanging up there (in a cover). It reminded me that another year has gone by when I have not got round to getting it cleaned. So, it will be 8 years next June since I wore it. I always intended to get it cleaned, but then stuff happened - kids, life, work, and there never seemed like a good time to justify £300+ to get it cleaned. So, it's still there.

Anyone else got a dress still covered in grass, mud, fake tan, wine hanging in their wardrobe, and for how long?

I got married 2 and a half years ago (so very very recent).
My dress and veil are in the dress bag, laid flat under my childhood bed at my dads house (he doesn't mind at all).
I never saw the point of getting it cleaned. I'm never ever going to sell it or give it to anyone. Also it was very clean anyway - the photographer had a large white plastic sheet for me to stand on for the pictures outside, so the bottom didn't get dirty. There's a few small marks underneath and underneath the train, and a glass of lemonade got knocked over it, but you can't tell.

Yep - 12 years...

12 years. It's clean apart from a big footprint on the train where DH stood on it Grin

Still have mine from 1979 but it's a dress that could be worn (and washed) many times , and it was. Bit tight on the waist now so it's not been worn for awhile but amazingly it hasn't dated much.

Oh dear, I had a brain fart then, because I thought I'd got married in 2012.

It was 2002 Blush

Dream is uncleaned, and possibly quite mildewy now.

This is making me feel much better! 11 years for me. Mine is a non wedding dress that could be worn again at a posh do, by dd though as I don't think it will look quite so fab on me 3 babies in - quite slim fitting..

Dream? Snort
