To think my twins have rigged up some sort of alarm system?

Seriously, as soon as my eyes close - AWAKE
As soon as I sit down with a hot cup of coffee - AWAKE
Put on something interesting on the television that's not animated - AWAKE

I need to check my house for sensors and cameras. Where to begin?

DS2 has rigged up something similar. The very second my backside touches a chair, the alarm shouts 'Muuuuuuuuummmm?'

My dc have a line rigged to the loo seat. Every time I pop in for a wee (def not for 5 mins on mn Grin) someone needs something and I am supposed to use magic powers to know where the item is!!

They're only 14 months old so frankly I should be impressed by their ingenuity.

Glad I'm not alone. Wonder if they advertise these devices on kids TV?

I think it's just telepathic powers. My 3 would be playing nicely, engrossed in a DVD, fast asleep or whatever, but the instant my arse was just easing itself into a comfy spot on the settee - waaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!

Clutterbugsmum · 28/11/2017 14:44

My DH and I call it the arse alarm. As in as soon as my arse sits down it goes 'MUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum' Grin.

When I have lots of things to do during my twins nap they decide that one of them will skip that nap so I have to deal with them and nothing gets done.
I've had to come to terms with never seeing the sofa till they are in bed

Also the "cot proximity alarm" that means they can be fast asleep - hoovering around them, spotlight in the face asleep - until you move them from your chest towards the cot. Baby meets cot: baby awake.

And the inability to hear their name being called across the table, but the ability to hear a sneaky biscuit packet rustle from three rooms away.

My grandson has the opposite, nearly whenever I look after him.he will curl up on my lap and sleep like the dead, yesterday he slept on me for 3 hours, he ended up having bread while his soup cooled.

TammySwansonTwo · 28/11/2017 18:09

Ah with mine it's crisps - or "baby wakers" as we call them!
