To ask for Christmas party help!

I had a lapse of concentration recently and found out I’d volunteered to arrange the local playgroup Christmas party (no, I don’t know why either...)

Had loads of ideas originally but now seem to be drawing a blank.

I’ve got three hours to fill for 25 kids aged 2-4.

Help??!

Decorating biscuits? Making Christmas hats? Very easy and very cheap. Could you perhaps ask on Facebook for a magician or party host for an hour for abit if entertainment.

Our local toddler group Christmas parties consist of some of the usual toys out and optional Christmas crafts (2 different crafts) then Christmas theme puppet show, party food then back to usual toys.

Could you get someone to dress up as Father Christmas? Each parent to bring a present for their own child (with a suggested maximum price to avoid any upset!).

Dd1 made candles the other day.
Toilet roll with holes cut out, tissue paper stuck on and led colour changing tea lights from b&m.

Make sure you have some toys set up for those who don't want to join in with the organised stuff.

Playdoh table with big batches of red and green playdoh and christmas cutters.

Cut out some big green Christmas tree shapes and get them to 'decorate' them with crayons.. or glue and shiny bits if you're brave enough.

Santa is a must. I'd do the pressies myself. The Works have Christmas story books in their 10 books for £10 offer so you can make up some nice pressies fairly cheaply. I'm sure parents would be happy to all contribute a pound or two.. it saves them taking their kids to see Santa elsewhere!

Loads of balloons! Put on some Christmas music and let them go mad! They'll love it, and the parents will appreciate them being worn out!

Christmas sing song, with jingle bells
