Why is it suddenly featuring in approximately fifty percent of homes according to extensive research on Facebook

That is all the knowledge which I currently wish to be availed of and I'm shamelessly posting here for traffic.

Doesn't flock and anaglypta cover a multitude of sins like not very good plaster, our house is full of anaglypta for that reason

Good God, a thought just occurred to me......surely woodchip must be on its way back?!?

White flock wallpaper...do you like vacuuming your walls op?

ForalltheSaints · 26/11/2017 17:42

I am very surprised that the OP expects good taste in the UK. This is the country that voted to 'take back control' from countries with taste and style such as France, where 9 million people watch Mrs Browns Boys, and where Primark is well patronised.

GeekyBlinders · 26/11/2017 17:48

My gran had curtains in that flock design, in gold velvet. Klassy.

Crack on Saints, that axe won't grind itself.

Has someone honestly tried to shoehorn Brexit into a conversation about house decor? Confused

Anymajordude · 26/11/2017 19:44

It's not grey flocked that everyone has in my experience, it's dark teal rooms. They are everywhere, in IKEA display rooms, on Pinterest, friends seem to either have them or be intending to paint them. I like them but they're clearly a fad and a fad that will take eleventy million coats of paint to undo.

Agustarella · 26/11/2017 19:54

YANBU, flock should be red or dark green!

I'm annoyed that dark teal is a big thing now. I was considering it myself, not knowing I was in fashion victim territory. It's not (or not just) snobbery, but I don't want to go to all the trouble and expense of painting, only to end up with some design cliché that dates instantly. Maybe that 70s gold flock is indeed the way to go...

courtney Apparently so, but then I have been known to watch Mrs Browns Boys...
