Isn't that a bit steep? For Kew gardens walk. I can't think it actually costs that much to process a £13 ticket and send an email

I mean 18.50

Do they have an alternative and free way to get the tickets?

52FestiveRoad · 25/11/2017 18:44

I'm not sure I understand. You have to pay to print off your own ticket at home???

Itsgonnabeacoldone · 25/11/2017 20:07

You can buy them from Kew box office, but not so handy if you're visiting for the day and they sell out in advance.

It's just a rip off booking fee on something already expensive

Or could you show them the ticket on your phone to avoid the print out fee.

MadForlt · 25/11/2017 20:13

Is this new? I went to Kew this summer, the ticket was iro £12 and no print at home fee.

londonrach · 25/11/2017 20:28

Saw it on a poster in birmingham for an event today and had a laugh. Seriously they charge you £2 for you to use your printer and your ink. Thats a event i wont attend.

Boysnme · 25/11/2017 21:03

I just bought tickets from ticket master. It was £2.95 to post them and £2.25 to print at home. I chose post then I at least got something for it!

bruffin · 25/11/2017 21:10

I booked some tickets for and exhibition at the Imperial War museum, Children were free but they still charged over £2 for booking. I think total tickets were less than £20 with £11 booking fees on top!

paperandpaint · 25/11/2017 21:13

I've always wondered how the print at home charge is actually even legal. Maybe we need to start a campaign!

Itsgonnabeacoldone · 25/11/2017 21:17

Kew charge 50p extra to post it, seeing as the library charges 20p a copy I'm going to get it posted and save time. As you say at least I'll be getting something for it!

It's for the Kew Christmas walk thing, need to pre-book sadly as timed

Lots of places say they need to be printed and you'd still have to pay the fee anyway

notacooldad · 25/11/2017 21:34

A lot of gig tickets are charge to print.
It's the cheapest but most ridiculous option.

Redisthemagicolour · 25/11/2017 21:40

I was at the O2 today. Obviously food and merchandise was a rip off. But they charged £1.50 for a card transaction for debit or credit cards on the merchandise. Really? Is there really any need? Weren't we already paying enough (£7 hotdog I'm looking at you!)

madeyemoodysmum · 25/11/2017 21:51

This is bloody outrageous. Totally ripping us off.

bruffin · 25/11/2017 22:37

from 13th January companies will no longer be allowed to pass on credit/debit card fees.
