To not know what to put on DS’s feet in winter!

DS is 13 Months but not walking and so doesn’t have shoes. However snowsuits in his age don’t have feet in as they are meant to go with wellies. Any idea what I can put on his feet for when he is crawling room outside in winter?

Similar thing here- we put DD in these with thick slipper socks/leather slippers underneath.

Sheep skin lined baby moccasins?

OhOurBilly · 24/11/2017 22:43

I got some leather soft sole shoes off Amazon. Like moccasins. They were about £8.

My 3 lived in mock-ons at that age, they were great. Washed well, lasted three babies, and stayed on really well too.

Get some wellies?

FrizzyNoodles · 25/11/2017 07:26

I used mocc ons and sainsburys had the same thing but cheaper.

I wouldn't let a child crawl around outside in the winter though. He will get filthy

It's ok, children and clothes are both washable!

I had cruising shoes from Clarks from 10 months when my DD1 started cruising the furniture....she then walked 3 days later bit the shoes were good while she was learning.

I use slipper socks that you can buy this time of year for indoors and the pram.

DS had waterproof booties and mittens at that age, and a padded puddle suit. I found all of them on eBay.

Why not shoes??!

isthistoonosy · 26/11/2017 21:11

urubu in the wet and cold a child esp. a crawler / new walker would need sturdy waterproof boots and that would be both extra difficult for a new walker to manage in and not great for their foot development.
