only to find they are made by Gisela Graham.

You can pick her stuff up at the garden centre!

RebeccaWithTheGoodHair · 24/11/2017 16:15

I got a three pounds voucher for my local one this morning, will it buy said tit?

It's black friday - you could probably get a whole menagerie!

Well I have a number of Gisela Graham baubles... I bought them for cheap of achica in July! :) When I saw them in Liberty priced for one what I paid for six I felt very festive!

TSSDNCOP · 24/11/2017 16:39

It will require some creative explaining to DH how I came them spend £35 on clippy robins I admit.Blush

Vitalogy · 24/11/2017 16:45

This thread has cost me £3.25.

Although I got it from Amazon with free P&P.

Many Christmasses ago I bought two sets of tree lights in Liberty, one red chillies and one green. (I was going for the 'cantina in Tijuana' look for some reason I can no longer remember Blush ) They are gloriously somewhat tacky but have lasted really well and make an appearance every year. No one would guess they were from Liberty.... misses the point entirely but I had to tell you about my chilli Xmas tree lights

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/11/2017 17:16

I buy some decorations there every year.

AnonEvent · 24/11/2017 17:32

I sold three large old style Liberty bags (darker purple, without the crest) on EBay for £5 each.

I wonder if they're adorning a Christmas tree somewhere.

Vitalogy · 24/11/2017 18:00

AnonEvent I've just looked on Ebay, used carrier bags for £££££. Shock

PurpleMinionMummy · 24/11/2017 18:06

Who is Gisela Graham (off to Google)

I need to google Liberty first!

AgathaMystery · 24/11/2017 18:08

Gorgeous ornament there yesterday - £29... it was £6 down the road at Olympia. Does take the piss a bit.

Vitalogy · 24/11/2017 18:18

This is a clip from the program about the shop. Was quite interesting the episode I watched one of the times.

goose1964 · 24/11/2017 18:27

Derails thread love the reindeer salt and pepper pots

MycatsaPirate · 24/11/2017 20:31

^vitalogy* My DD has two of those hanging from her curtain rail in her bedroom although they are the iridescent peacock ones. One of our local shops sell them and they are gorgeous when the sun catches them. Hadn't thought of them as Christmas decorations though!

And wtaf is with all the festive flamingo's this year?

SleepFreeZone · 24/11/2017 20:41

I have a GG fairy too!

AnonEvent · 24/11/2017 23:37

I know Vitalogy!! I was surprised - I wonder if people are using them for gifts, or just collecting them.

Small posh shop bags are excellent for transporting shoes/lunch to Work. The big ones are worth a £ or two.

greenlanes · 24/11/2017 23:59

I bought Liberty Christmas baubles for years. ONE per year. I love them decades on. I dont blame you OP for being upset. GG is everywhere. Liberty is not. That is the whole point of Liberty (or used to be) - it was unique, different, stylish etc. Some of my baubles were not actually that expensive, but they were Liberty. Looking forward to getting mine out of the loft next week (and will be furiously checking for GG labels that I have previously missed). Stick to your principles!

Pumperthepumper · 25/11/2017 00:15

What is ‘natch’?

Vitalogy · 25/11/2017 00:57

MycatsaPirate The iridescent peacocks are lovely too. I nearly put one in my basket with a few others, then thought, get a grip. Grin Hummingbirds, peacocks and flamingos are my favourite birds. I did see some flamingo wrapping paper, must be the Florida influence Grin
AnonEvent Yes, I was thinking about why people want the bags, like you say, collecting or for gifts, then a cynical thought, maybe they're pretending to have shopped there, creating an image about themselves. I work in a hotel and people often leave Selfridges and Victoria's secret ones, I see people buy those too, it's giving me ideas Grin
