Jahe I don't think it's that rare - so many men look better as they get old. Ryan Gosling was weird looking as a young man, now look at him. When I went to Sweden with some friends, we almost fell over just walking down the street. All these tall Gods with cheekbones, and so friendly to dumpy middle aged women. They stopped to give directions and recommend cafes. The streets are lined with them.
