AIBU to buy Xmas pressies only for their kids?

A straightforward AIBU. I have good friends who now have kids. I don’t yet have kids. These are good friends who I would usually buy Xmas pressies for. AIBU to buy Xmas pressies only for their kids this year and not for the parents? It is getting pretty expensive for me to buy several pressies for the same family...

You don't need to buy anything for the kids. If your friends still get you a gift, I would still get the adults a gift. Parents are people too and in all likelihood their kids will be getting more presents than the parents ideally want from family.

Instead of buying individual gifts why not do a family hamper for example a movie night or games night.

My friend does this and I'm fine with it. Make sure I/ (the children) buy something for her in return coz she's lovely, goes out of her way for us and even though she has way more money than me It's not fair for her to always be buying 3:1

I think I would get for the parents and chocolate Santa's or selection boxes for their children

Cottonwoolbawl's suggestion is a good one. Buy as normal for the adults and get a small token for the kids. You can pick up a selection box for £1-2. If money is tight you can take that amount off the parents' gifts.
