To make drunk husband sleep with his sick?

Dh has come home drunk from a works do. I could hear him banging about downstairs, then all goes quiet, then I hear him being sick. 5 mins later he appears in our room saying he's "messed up bad" and has been sick on our new £300 rug. I don't know what he's been drinking, but it literally smells like shit. I'm 10 weeks pregnant which doesn't help. So I have hoofed the rug into our snug room, and made him sleep in there on the sofa. I'm hoping this keeps the smell out of the rest of the house. I have two under 2 who will be up in under 3 hours, and I can't take them down to that smell. And I just can't stomach cleaning it (I was heaving the whole time I was moving said rug). Plus, a massive part of me thinks why the fuck should I have to.

I would so like to be able to be cool if my husband came in and threw up everywhere. But I'm an emetophobe. I'd probably have a meltdown.

Thankfully he isn't a massive drinker but every time he goes out (not often) I worry that this will happen.

My dh doesn’t drink that often. If he did this I’d clean it and look after him (I’m not pregnant though).
It would be be a different matter if it was a regular occurrence.
