To wonder where my flying car is?

When I was young, 2000 was going to be a sci-fi future with robots doing the housework and flying cars being commonplace. So AIBU to ask why 17 years later, I still don't have a flying car?

My dad worked for Air France in the 70s. He would bring home silver sachets of food. It literally felt like The Future. Unfortunately they mainly contained ketchup and/or mustard.

I want a food thing like they have in sci-fi where you stand in front of a dispenser, say what food you want and then a few seconds later it arrives, freshly made.

All I actually have is some microwave popcorn.
