To think Superdry are utterly confusing sizes? Can anyone help??

DH wants a coat for Christmas. Must be Superdry so no personal opinions on the brand please (I have my own thoughts!!!)

But the sizing is insanely confusing. I have googled until the cows come home & can't take him into a shop without blowing the surprise.

He's short. Stocky. Usually wears a small in other ranges (though in jumpers etc I do think he should be in a medium!!)

What size is my safest bet??

And do I go with Windcheater or Windtrekker for a warm, practical winter jacket??

Above all...AiBU to think Superdry could just have sizes the same as everywhere else!

TIA for any help

For a 2 hour drive to the shop surely you'd just order the 2 sizes you think it might be (sounds like M or L) and send one back. You should be able to tell by sight with them in front of you.

A small cost to send one back is much better than a 4 hour round trip, you can order both styles too.

Male sizing in Superdry is spot on I think. A medium in there is a medium in Paul Smith

My 5ft 8” stocky DH is a medium or large in Superdry. They really do come up small.

thanks whippetwoman - does he have any jackets?

I'm thinking probably large.

I have a windcheater, would definitely recommend. I've had it for 6 years & it literally looks brand new still. The numerous zips can be annoying but its extremely warm & comfortable. I brought the size I am in other shops, it's quite fitted though so if you want a looser fit go for the size up from what he normally gets
