Am I asking for too much?

We have had an ongoing problem with a burst sewage pipe (there is a thread in legel with full details).
Basically,I rang my water company in Jan 2006 to report a burst pipe, and was informed that as the pipe was in my garden, it was not water companies pioe. A month later we were informed it was their pipe. The pipe is being fixed on monday!
We were not after any compesation to begin with, just wanted our pipe fixed. But, after reading their own work, they state certain payments!
We have been offered 290pounds, made up of 50% of sewage charges, payment to dynorod to investigate and a small amount for missed appointments.
We are trying to get something (anything, tbh an apology would be nice) for the simple fact that we had to move out of the house for two weeks (went to parents though), and that we (to us) had external flooding, but this is not the case to water company, as our door was not flooded. Our view is that if our door was flooded, then the whole area in which we live had to be flooded (live on a mountain side)!
Been told I am being unreasonable by water company as I informed them that I am going to the Comsumer counsil (sp?) for water wales, as we are not happy.

What do you all think, be honest please!

you had to move house while it was being sorted ! and you have not even had a written apology !! think you should complain

if the definition of flooded is that your door is flooded and it wasnt, then youre flogging a dead horse there, whetehr you deserve and apology, compensation or not. sorry
