Providing you are able bodied obviously

If you have no husband, kids or pets then yes it's easy.

acornsandnuts · 27/10/2017 22:04

I’d rather read a book in the garden. Can’t see the crap from out there.

Ecureuil · 27/10/2017 22:06

If you have no husband, kids or pets then yes it's easy

Well, not if your husband pulls his weight. If mine created extra cleaning work for me we’d be having serious words!

RaindropsAndSparkles · 27/10/2017 22:06

In the days of yore when I had two under 4, 5, etc, I made if clear I could do clean or tidy, not both. My preference was clean; DH's tidy. We got a cleaner Grin

LordSugarWillSeeYouNow · 27/10/2017 22:06

Cleaning the house while kids are growing is like shovelling snow while it's still snowing...

Pennypickle · 27/10/2017 22:08

Your prioritise having a sparkly clean home. Others prioritise work commitments, school runs, after school activities, dinner prepared and served, a bottle (or two) of wine to unwind once the kids have stopped demanding and settled to sleep....once the dog has been walked of course....

Your ideal isn't everyone's ideal OP. Some people struggle to get out of bed in the morning due to physical or mental illness. Each to their own....

You have a sparkling, clean house. Good for you Biscuit

hellsbells99 · 27/10/2017 22:08

This .....

To think it is easy to keep your home clean?
Ohwell14 · 27/10/2017 22:09

No my priority is my family

OP posts:
AgentProvocateur · 27/10/2017 22:10

Yes, it is easy to keep clean since the DC left home, but life’s too short to spend it cleaning. I’d rather pay someone and and go for dinner or to the theatre instead. Life’s also too short to be a smug cow Smile

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 27/10/2017 22:11

That’s too bad for you. My priority is chocolate and pizza. I think I’ve picked the better option. 🍕 🍫

Ohwell14 · 27/10/2017 22:11

Who said my house is clean, this could be a reverse to make myself feel better for living in a mess Grin

OP posts:
Xeneth88 · 27/10/2017 22:13

No one cares about your house OP. No one at all. Posting some smug post to make yourself feel good about the fact you wiped a loo is really quite goady. Good for you. Well done. Your eulogy will be fab. Stop attempting to put others down its only reflecting badly on you.

Xeneth88 · 27/10/2017 22:14

Very bad form if it is a reverse. Which it isn't as you're now looking to dig your arse out of the goady bitch hole.

Lovelylovelyladies · 27/10/2017 22:15

Messy DH
Messy 4 year old
Messy 3 year old
Messy 1 year old
Messy me
House that's way to bloody small
Equals the grand sum total of...
Too bloody tired to care.

Notanumberuser · 27/10/2017 22:17

Yeah you’re trying to dig yourself out now.

Love that you haven’t answered me re MH difficulties being relevant since you only say able bodied.

Haveyoutriedturningitoffandon · 27/10/2017 22:17

2/10

Ohwell14 · 27/10/2017 22:17

I fail too see how I put anyone down if your house is a mess it's your choice if your house is clean it's your choice. Each to their own. I was simply asking a question

OP posts:
Notanumberuser · 27/10/2017 22:17

No. You weren’t. You were being a goady fucker. HTH.

bellie710 · 27/10/2017 22:18

I work 7 days a week 8-5 and have done for the last 7 months, I have 3 kids, a dog and a husband who works away a lot I have 4 months off in the winter and my main mission is to clean my house, it is an absolute shit hole!! My house is tidy and the basics are cleaned regularly but look closely and it's filthy, so no it is not easy to keep my home clean!! Maybe if you have a studio flat it's possible but for me not a chance...

Ohwell14 · 27/10/2017 22:18

I apologise for not including mental health difficulties, i should of said if there is nothing preventing you from cleaning instead of able bodied

OP posts:
WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 27/10/2017 22:18

YABU. And sanctimonious.

Xeneth88 · 27/10/2017 22:19

Yeah ok of course you were. Please stop. You're embarrassing yourself now.

SparklyLeprechaun · 27/10/2017 22:20

I don't know, you might be right, I never cared enough to try.

AssassinatedBeauty · 27/10/2017 22:21

"simply asking a question" of course you were.

Ohwell14 · 27/10/2017 22:21

Haha ok then. I never said it WAS a reverse either. Just that you have no idea if my house is clean or not. So no one knows if I need a medal Hmm
