DF visiting today just asked ‘Aren’t you going to give him something more substantial?’ as I served DS the following:

Bread and butter
Pom Bears
Fresh tomato
Cheese cubes
Raisins
Yoghurt (sneaky protein yoghurt, as he is off meat atm)

He’s just being an arse, isn’t he? Is he?

I'm not sure about protein yoghurt for this age group - might want to check if that's recommended. Your cheese will have contained protein.

What are his favourite main meals? Maybe people here can help you insert some sneaky hidden veg!!

I think it’s fine! We regularly have ‘picnic tea’ in this house. I usually do cream cheese or marmite sandwiches, raw cucumber and carrot, some sort of fresh fruit and one of the following: raisins/yoghurt/crisps/breadsticks/cheese. Sometimes I throw caution to the wind and give them a few smarties or chocolate drops as ‘pudding’ too. Wink
