AIBU to try to cut my DS's hair?

He's 3. Refuses to go to hairdressers. It's gone beyond shaggy surfer and onto to full on Rapunzel, which would be fine if he actually let us comb it everyday.

I've bought some scissors. I've watched a Youtube video, shall I give it a go?

I did it! Top stylists aren't exactly going to be worried about their client lists disappearing anytime soon...but my son now has short hair with a side swept fringe and it looks like a real hair cut and not like i used a bowl.

Now addicted. DD looking frightened.

I cut my little boys hair. I do in the bath and he stresses alot less than when go to hairdresser. Go for it. As long as you dont rush and take a little off at a time you will be fine.

Cross post. Glad it went well. It is so much cheaper. I do daughters as well which is easier than sons I think

My daughter has long hair, although to be fair DS had below shoulders length so had to restyle and cut otherwise he would have had a bob.
