Just that really. We came back from holiday yesterday and the washing machine must have been on 4 times since then. I've just snuck up to it and put another load in, I felt decidedly guilty at the look on it's (non existent) washing machine face. I could have sworn it looked knackered. Haven't the heart to tell it there's another lot going on before bed. Does anyone else feel like this about objects or am I just alone here.

My husband is bringing a new hoover home. I can’t look at the old one (even though we hope to keep it for the stairs if we can fix it). I feel a little anxious when I walk past it in the hall. I wonder if he knows...

I do this with my car, I feel sad for her if we drive down a rough bumpy track or drive a very long distance. I also still have one of the first wide screen Telly's from the 90s, I can't bear to give her up because she was my first proper grown up TV! If I got rid of her she would probably become scap metal Sad

Ive have to cover our peugeot's 'ears' ( the air con vents!) if we talk about another car or see a fancier one and comment on it.
I also tuck teddies and dolls and tell the kids off if they say silly things to Siri. My iPad is really old and a bit slow.... So I give it a little tap if I reach for my phone or the PC to google something instead of it.

Watch 'White Christmas' by Charlie Brooker. One of the storylines on that drama will totally freak you out OP.

We also have a Roomba. We have named him “Rodney”, Rodney the Roomba. He is like our third pet. And I feel very sorry for him when he gets left upstairs or can’t find his base and wanders around aimlessly with no home. I also feel very pleased with him when he does a good hoover. I talk to him when I set him off and he gets a “well done” when he’s done a good job. He sometimes get told off when he’s been naughty and misses a bit! I think I will genuinely be very sad when the day comes and Rodney is no more. I think may love Rodney a little bit....
