I've just gone to make a cup of tea and realised that it means opening a new 4 pinter of milk.
I was unreasonably pissed off at this.

The cap hurts my hand and I hate pulling of the stupid, silver seal then having to throw it away. Angry

I have no idea why this upsets me so much but it made me realise that I although I will do it. I am stupidly annoyed every time I have to and if that if I can find a way to get dh to do it, without actually telling him about my unreasonable dislike of the task, I will.

It made me wonder... is anyone else pissed off by anything as ridiculously small and insignificant, or am I alone in my unreasonableness?

Hoovering, because my Henry is a clumsy prick, falls over constantly and can't suck anything up properly. I'll scream at him until the DP takes over.

TheChippendenSpook · 21/10/2017 16:38

Aldi wheat biscuits. I need to use a knife or scissors to open the packets and it drives me nuts.

Passthecake30 · 21/10/2017 18:58

Putting petrol in the car... really hurts my hands, I don't have weeny hands as I'm tall and I can't get my hand to span the noozle?

Picking hair out of the plug hole. Picking hair out of the hoover brush. So much hair... we should all be bald?!

Poking the hole thing at the back of the fridge ...shudder.

Pumperthepumper · 21/10/2017 19:08

I hate doing my hair, which is washing, conditioning, blow-drying and straightening. I've got really fine, easily greasy hair that I have to wash every day or it just looks awful. I love the days where I don't have to leave the house and I can just let it be minging.

MotherofPearl · 21/10/2017 19:35

Everything to do with hoovers. The way the cord is always where you don’t want it to be, the way the cylinder falls onto its side if you pull the hose bit too hard/fast, the way the cord is sometimes just not quite long enough to finish the far end of a room, the way the brush bit on the end goes all wonky when you try to slide it under the sofa... ARGH! Angry Hoovers give me rage in my chest I can physically feel.

MotherofPearl · 21/10/2017 19:38

Spook, you’ve reminded me about my hatred of Weetabix packaging! Why is it so shit? Always make the most god awful mess getting one out of the pack.

wafflyversatile · 21/10/2017 19:50

I have a supplier who, instead of emailing an invoice or posting an invoice like normal people, sends an email telling me that the invoice is ready. I then have to log on to their portal with my user name and password, download the invoice then print it. A lot more of their invoices have been paid late or very late since they brought in this system, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It only takes a couple of minutes but it only needs to take a couple of seconds. It's just so fucking irritating.

Notso · 21/10/2017 20:04

Making lunches. As a child my parents didn't make lunch at the weekend, at the time I thought it was an outrage but as an adult I can see why. I detest doing it, particularly sandwiches but other foods are also annoying.
Assembling packed lunches for the kids daily pisses me right off, if school dinners were decent then they'd have those everyday. However DH, who has been off work and did a few mornings with DC, revealed today he found making the packed lunches pleasing and enjoyable. He has gained a new job!

SomethingNewToday · 21/10/2017 20:07

Notso me too. I detest making packed lunches. I also wish the dc could gave school dinners and I'd happily pay a lot more if I knew they were decent meals just to avoid making lunches!

Boakboak · 21/10/2017 20:07

Cleaning glass mirrors/shelves/ANYTHING.

GerrytheBerry · 21/10/2017 20:17

Aha but when the annoying little arsehole silver disc thing decides to part with its puller bit and then you have to peel the bloody thing off by almost losing a fingernail, that's worse! Why can't milk be in bottles with screw tops like fizzy pop?

Notso · 21/10/2017 20:18

SomethingNewToday high five!

BetterEatCheese · 21/10/2017 20:21

I hate putting teabags in the tin and cleaning my teeth. Obviously I do it but I hate it!

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 21/10/2017 20:27

Taking my bra off. It bloody hurts my hands or shoulder (I have arthritis) it winds me up as it’s something I ‘should’ be able to do

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 21/10/2017 20:28

I really hate cleaning my teeth too! Makes me heave if I put the brush too close to my throat

Boakboak · 21/10/2017 20:31

Off topic but my DH just stepped on a pillow on the floor (re-arranging bed) with his slippers on. The pillow was well in bloody view and he says it's fine because they're indoor slippers but I've seen him do the recycling in them Angry he expected me to still use the pillow.

Fully prepared to be told to LTB.

Ambonsai · 21/10/2017 20:35

Blow drying my hair - every day

Milk bottle top doesn't bother me.

Emptying the bins- I have been known to leave it to the cleaner
Washing
Drying -folding - putting away - Groundhog Day

MoreFangBleed · 21/10/2017 20:39

Pairing bloody bastard socks. I have an ongoing bag of lone socks that I hang onto just in case their mate turns up. It rarely does.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 21/10/2017 20:39

I hate weeing. When l was young it would come out in one fast stream. Now lm older it comes out in pathetic drubs and drabs. I'm sure it takes an hour. Then when l think l'm done, one more little dribble comes out.

I long to return to the days lightening fast peeing☹️️

oldlaundbooth · 21/10/2017 20:40

I have no idea who 'Joan' is, the anti - domestic goddess, but by jove, I am in lurve.

oldlaundbooth · 21/10/2017 20:42

I plan on picking DC'S schools on the premise of whether there is a canteen with school lunches available.

I cannot bear the thought of making lunches for them every single day. In Tupperware boxes of course.

Bluelonerose · 21/10/2017 20:42

Filling up the water dispenser (I'm the ONLY 1 who fills it yet it's never got any in when I want it)
Cleaning the plug hole after dd has washed 400 foot of hair
Cleaning the bin lid Angry if you miss the bin wipe it off
Mirrors and finger marks Angry let's not go there

Spaghettihead1 · 21/10/2017 20:42

Feel the same as you OP with the bottle tops. The silver peely thing always sticks up my nail.

Crumbs and wet patches on the kitchen tops.

Onion skins. Hate them. No matter how careful I am at putting them in the bin a piece always does a skydive to the floor.

oldlaundbooth · 21/10/2017 20:43

'he found making the packed lunches pleasing and enjoyable. He has gained a new job!'

Hollow laugh. He'll learn, just give him time lots

CoffeeCupCake · 21/10/2017 20:45

Mine is opening bleach bottles where you have to squeeze the sides of the cap. It takes me at least 5 minutes and a lot of swearing.
