To think this was very rude behaviour from Sales assistant?

I was buying a top when the sales assistant asked if I had taken into consideration the size of my chest because these tops run small 😳 While I was contemplating my embarrassment at this, she suddenly turned to another customer who was looking at knickers and shouted ‘YOU’RE NOT A 36, NOT BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION!’😵😵

I have tweeted Ann Summers but no response (this is the shop it happened in)!

I dont think what she said to you was off at all, the underwear comment, yes though.

So if you buy sex toys you’re some sort of low life? Hmm

I think that because it’s Ann Summers the staff should have more discretion not less. The woman she was talking to was tall and slim and probably was not more than a size 10. My top actually did fit. I certainly won’t be back in there in a hurry. Who wants their body judged in a shop?

lottieandmia22 · 21/10/2017 13:22

I do have bigger boobs than my frame because I’ve had a breast aug. In the past I have asked for help because the size 8-10 stuff I can’t fit my boobs in. But I think if you don’t ask for help they should keep opinions to themselves.

How was she judging though? She was saying the tops run small and if you're big boobed they prob won't fit. I'd see it as helpful.

As as an ex Ann Summers employee, it was more likely that she was trying to tell the other lady that she was smaller than a size 36 back. Most people are wearing bras far too big for them. The fashion pieces that they sell do tend to come up on the small size and we'd always recommend trying the next size up if the customer looked like a D+ cup. She could have been more tactful in how she approached it though. Just out of interest OP which store were you in?

lottieandmia22 · 21/10/2017 14:00

They were knickers not bra CreepyPasta that she was looking at. It’s Worcester.

I’ve been using Anne Summers for years and I’ve never come across an assistant who behaves like this before.

always found assistants helpful. Thought that comment was useful. Some sizes come up small, some large. Helpful to know. She was hardly judging !! Judging as what? Do some of you know what judging actually means??

Also agree she may have been joking with a friend/ customer known to her with the other woman and if she wasn't offended I don't see why you need to be on her behalf.

BTW - in the estate agent the other day looking at a nice little semi in the window and the old bag said "You can't afford it" - Shock! She was my friend of ten years but no=one else was likely to know, that.
