I don't see my child during the week apart from the 10 minutes in the morning getting dressed for nursery. She usually naps in the drive there and is asleep in the car in the way home again and straight to bed. I feel horrendously guilty that I don't see her all week and am trying to think of some fun, cheap things to do with her on weekend that are A, not too tiring as we're both exhausted after a long week, B, not expensive and C not too busy as I'm not very good in crowds of people. Obviously it being the weekend everywhere is busy! I also have to fit in the housework and food shopping and any other errands 😩
My Little Pony the film come out tomorrow but not sure if 3 is a bit young to sit through a while film.

Books, soft play, playing at hairdressers, playing with make up, board games,
Sometimes we just cuddle and play
I spy but within colours instead of letters, cake making - they are a pound on b and m,
Bread making, same if you get recipes online, nail painting. We also go collect leaves
And stuff in the park and paint them

Some garden centres are good too, there’s one near us that has tropical fish, a cafe and a nature trail, it’s brilliant.

In term time I am crazy busy with work so mornings and evenings are very rushed and there's not much quality time together. In the holidays we try and do one 'thing' everyday. National trust membership is great, country parks for outside walks and adventure playgrounds with a sandwich and a coffee for lunch, trampolining is always good fun, reading stories, watching telly snuggled up on the sofa, baking cakes, colouring, board games etc. DS actually really just wants to be snuggled with me for most of the time that we're at home tbh and we try to make sure there's always at least one weekend afternoon where we just drink tea and watch a film or a load of kids telly and have a good snuggle underneath a blanket.

If you have a Pets At Home store near you, they do free sessions called 'my pet pals' where your child can go and meet the animals, learn a bit about them and they get a certificate and a little goody bag (colouring pencils etc). It's only about 15/30 minutes, you just book online

I wouldn't go to the cinema - not only is she a bit young yet really, but you are just sitting next to her in the dark - you can't chat or laugh or even look at each other.
It's lovely to go out for a walk at this time of year - doesn't matter if it is stormy or windy. You can collect things you find - conkers, acorns, twigs, different coloured leaves or different shape leaves. Then you can stick them on some paper or you can do leaf printing or something if you want to be really creative.
As you have to do the food shop, then make it fun - let her help you.
As other said, just read together, or, if you want to watch a film watch it together at home then you can stop as and when you want to.
Cooking is always a favourite with nearly all children, both baking things and actually getting involved with preparation of meals.
