I find it quite amusing on one hand how innocent my husbands teen years were as opposed to mine and quite concerned on the other than I really did do some silly things!

Distract me from lots of work to do this afternoon and tell me the wildest thing you done, good or bad, before 18?

In my hard-drinking, coke-snorting days my then BF and his mate dared me to take my dress off as we were walking home. I removed said dress and walked the rest of the way (almost a mile) in just my knickers and a pair of sandals.

It was 7pm on a summer evening and broad bloody daylight. I blush and cringe just thinking about it now.

I think kids these days are a lot more aware/smarted about some things and less so about others.

They seem mostly to be more aware of the risks of wreckless activities like drink-driving, unprotected sex and drugs and less inclined to go down that road generally, but on the flip side, they are more careless about photos of themselves naked/semi-naked and the fact that once a picture has been taken you can never be sure it's been deleted. (obviously this is a sweeping generalisation)

Mine are very tame compared to some of these especially as i grew up in a rough area......

I was living in Vienna and it snowed while I was out drinking far too much champagne (and snorting cocaine off pianos - how 80's can you get? Meanwhile I was very thin...).
I went home and my lovely flatmate asked, "Darling - where are your shoes?"

So I walked barefoot back to the bar I had recently left, found my shoes and carried them home.

Aged 17 I was spending the night in an airport having arrived back from the Canary Islands. I got chatting to a group of men who were in a band. Got pissed as a fart with them and ended up going to Los Angeles with them.

Went to a club aged about 15, at the bar stood one of my school teachers. The teacher brought me a drink and we ended up drinking, laughing and doing shots all night. He some how drove me home too. I was well known to be a drinker/wild one/out of control so its not like he gave me drink I wouldn't otherwise have and from what I remember it was all very friendly. I felt cool and wild and like it was the best night of my life.

Next week at school he kept me behind to confess he was high at the time, swore me to secrecy and promised to not alert the club about my age in return. Next time I went to the club he was in a corner completely out of it, high and sweating. I realised we both had our finger on the self destruct button but my life wasn't as messed up as his although I could see myself going that way if I wasnt careful so made the decision to start taking control. 15ish years later he still has a drug problem but I've moved on. Because of that night I never have done drugs.
