Sexist Autoglass Operative

I had terrible customer service from Autoglass today. Man came out to fix my windscreen. Was really patronising and when my partner came out directed all conversation at him and, despite the fact it was my car, I was the customer and he had been dealing with me, handed my car keys to my boyfriend. What century are we living in? Complained to Autoglass who didn't see what the issue was and suggested I might have made the story up.

I had this issue with trades when getting a quote for buildings works and to have a driveway block paved. Some wouldn’t come out and quote unless my husband was home as well!!! Not that he gives a shit what anything looks like or does.

How did you get them to believe you?

Have they just done this to fob you off, I assume you posted on twitter

BT once told me they wouldn’t send an engineer until my husband had come home and had a look at it.
The AA put our policy in my husband’s name despite it being me who organised and paid for it. Now I’m not allowed to amend the policy.
It is a big deal that this sort of shit happens and we need to stand up to it. Well done OP

Before any impending meltdown or onslaught, this has to be media trolling by Autoglass; woman feels (in her opinion) that a man was talking to her in a misogynistic manner - in the presence of her hubby/partner - and she takes enough umbrage to it that she tries to damage the [alleged] man's employer's business by holding them to ransom over a sexist claim... publicly?!

She was SO offended, she sought advice on Mumsnet and decided to broadcast her version of what she felt happened over the Twittersphere to ensure maximum impact. However Autoglass saw that waving a few used notes at her would lessen the pain she was feeling. And with a wad in her hand, she no longer felt offended, concluding that it was all, 'worth it'.

Now I feel offended that her fella did nothing about it while the Autoglass man was there offending her. Her fella has failed in chivalry and let down his fellow man (except for the one that offended his good lady). I'm appalled. Who should I complain to for my compo?

What? She didn't ''do it''. She reacted to the salesman being sexist.
No, that would have been addressing with the salesman himself. Going on social media & accepting compensation (for sod all) is publicity & money-seeking.
