I've never had a canvaser of any party knock on my door, ever!
Last time round, for the Scottish elections the MSP and MP and whoever else went to all the Officer's houses near me, but didn't bother anyone else.

Agree with Purple.... everyone should vote.
I have to say though that I dont really understand politics, they all seem as bad as each other.
When I started work I said to a bloke I worked with that I didnt "get" politics and he said "its simple, if you have money you vote conservative, if you dont you vote labour. That was 20 years ago so not sure if that applies now.

you must have some sort of leanings even if its just from which newspaper you read (hence me being a bit of a snob about newspapers )

Imawurzel · 11/04/2007 18:42

But even if i did vote for one, i wouldn't know who to vote for.
I'm rather dim on the world. Don't read papers,or watch the news. If radio is on my brain switches off when the news comes on.
It just all muddles my brain if i even try to understand half of whats going on.
Make sense??

We don't tend to get canvassers here either as most of the local bods know that my brother belongs to the opposition to them so therefore we're the Untouchables as far as they're concerned as they assume that 5 adults in one house all vote the same way .

Idiots - it would at least be a laugh to read their spiel . I always hand my ballot card to another party as I exit the polls just cos I can.

I met whatsisname today, David Cameron!

RustyBear · 11/04/2007 18:59

I had someone knock on my door at election time a few years ago and ask 'Would you like to meet John Redwood?'
I almost said 'How much will it cost?'
Presumably he is too important to waste his time going to houses where he might be unappreciated.

I'm a Wursel- Its local elections soon so do you like your town (does it seem well looked after/organised/police around stuff like that) if you do vote to keep the same people if you don't vote to change them!
