Caveat; this is lighthearted

It's just annoying weather isn't it? I mean what do you wear when it's 17degrees? Too warm for a coat but by the end of the day you might just need a coat

On Sunday it's going to be 22C. TWENTY TWO DEGREES IN THE MIDDLE OF BASTARDING OCTOBER

I'm sorry but it's not on; I've got a newborn and my lovely snuggly parka that I want to be able to wear with him in the sling and go for lovely cool walks in the park without sweating like a mofo. I love autumn but it must cool down

It's 15 degrees here and I have a jumper on.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 15:24

I've just bought BBQ foodGrin

SunsetGrigio · 12/10/2017 15:31

I sort of agree. We're off on holiday to the Lakes and I haven't the foggiest what to pack. We've all got jumpers, long sleeved tops, warm coats, boots. Then I read it might be 18 degrees on Monday and so now we have short sleeved tops, jackets and shoes packed too. But it's northern England so it'll still rain even if it's warm, so we also need wellies and rain macs... Basically taking everything we own Confused

TrinityTaylor · 12/10/2017 15:35
Confused

13degrees here. And only stopped pissing it down for about 4 hours of 72. If I saw you buggering about in sandals round here I'd be concerned!

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 12/10/2017 15:38

It's lovely this afternoon.

22ºC on Sunday would be lovely... if I wasn't running a half marathon. Glad I didn't sign up for the full one!
Every race I've done this year has been in scorching sunshine. Not ideal!

heron98 · 12/10/2017 15:40

Ha ha. I'm in Yorkshire and have two coats on today.

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 12/10/2017 15:41

Yabu lol
Summer seems to have shifted from June/July/August to August/September/October don’t you think?

didnthappeninmyday · 12/10/2017 15:45

Yabu because if it wasnt warm it wouldnt be all cold and crispy it would be bloody pissing down and miserable and you’d be soaking wet after going out for a walk.

PickAChew · 12/10/2017 15:50

Not warm, today.

Ooooooh 13 degrees-bliss! I'll swap you Grin

amusedbush · 12/10/2017 16:07

13 degrees here, absolutely blissful. I'm too fat for summer Grin

uncoolnn · 12/10/2017 16:07

It is 16 degrees here in the north west. I haven’t even broken out the scarf yet Shock

Stickaforkinimdone · 12/10/2017 18:15

Hahaha! You see, I like the idea of summer and really warm weather, but when it comes down to it I'm a bit like 'oh actually this is really a bit annoying and I'm too warm and the trains are too full and London stinks and etc etc etc' and so it goes on

Until autumn, when it's a decent 8-10 degrees....
And then it's winter which is usually too cold

😆

It's been this way for a few years. Every other year since they were 2/3 (now 10/13) took DDs to Wales for a caravan holiday for October half term. Nights were a bit rainy but days were lovely & sunny. We went May half term this year, had to nip to the retail park for hoodies & fleeces.

ilovesooty · 12/10/2017 18:37

It can stay warm as long as it likes for me.

AnnabelleLecter · 12/10/2017 18:54

I like it. Means another weekend sitting outside our favourite pubs and cafés.
Less nasty bugs, no heating needed.
October hasn't been cold for years here.

SweetChickadee · 12/10/2017 18:57

It snowed this morning where I am Grin

Bluelonerose · 12/10/2017 19:06

It's really annoying. Went out in my boots this morning. ALMOST brought a new pair of shoes to wear coz my feet were that hot.

The ONLY plus side is we can now spend the weekend sorting the shed Confused

ujerneyson · 12/10/2017 19:54

My app now says 23 on Monday. Happy days. I'm pleased I had a pedi as I think I'll be breaking the sandals back out

Delatron · 12/10/2017 21:33

It is often lovely this time of year. Every wedding (including mine) that I've been to in October has been warm and sunny.
Haven't been to one in August that has been nice or July! Everyone should get married in October. Plus you have no expectations of the weather..

museumum · 12/10/2017 21:35

Wtf!?? It’s blowing a gale here and not warm. Maybe 12/13?

Namelesswonder · 12/10/2017 21:42

We had rain, wind and 12 degrees here today - proper Autumn weather! Breaking out my winter coat tomorrow (Scotland)

Namelesswonder · 12/10/2017 21:45

Monday our forecast is 12 degrees and rain.....
