To think being a child is better than being an adult?

I think so. DH doesn't, neither does DS or DD (early 20s)...

What do you think?

I had a very happy childhood, where my needs were met and even some of my wants were met, too and still couldn't wait to be in charge of my own destiny. I love being an adult, getting to decide, or negotiate everything that happens in my life. Brilliant.

It depends. I had a lovely childhood- nice parents, lots of huge and encouragement, enough money, fab holidays and days out. But you’re essentially powerless as a child. If you have neglectful or abusive parents and an unhappy home life you are mostly powerless to do anything about it. That must be beyond awful.

You're at the mercy of your parents as a child but as an adult you can still play in ball pits so I'm going with adult for me.
