Has anyone watched ‘The real housewives of Cheshire?’

Watched it last night with teen dds and we were all amazed at the childishness back biting and sheer banality of their lives.

I get that’s the gist of this type of programme but still?

I think my aibu is was I daft to watch it and expect any better?

Agreed, I couldn't believe her voice when she played her song! It was like a terrible club track from Ibiza in the late 90s! She also has a strangely rigid face, she never really laughs or looks relaxed.

I forgot the new lady! Rachel Lugo, one of twins and of long blonde Rapunzel hair. She actually seems ok so far...

I used to love watching this show as light relief and could watch with my daughter. It's not the same since Ampika left (and Mark). Bring Ampika back please! The pool party was really naff too. Lauren launched a perfume last series but haven't seen it anywhere.

It is utter bollocks isn’t it but I watch it with a glass and dream I had their money and houses and staff who clean and cook!

And the wardrobes and shoes!

Frankly I am jealous of the money but their lives do seem vacuous.

The new young one who can’t sing has indeed a very immobile face but gave Ester a filthy look when she asked her dh his age

I hate the fact they're always in the hairdressers getting their hair 'done' yet someone is just running their fingers through their hair and they look no different coming out as to when they went in!

Are 10000 x worse for catty bitchy sniping I wish I didn't love the shows but I do. They're deffo set up for entertainment purposes though I'm sure people can't have this much constant drama

I live in Cheshire and would just love to see them in real life, they look totally ridiculous and must stand out a mile and not for good reason.

I loved Ampika it is boring without her.

There are so many women around here who look like Rachel the new one, (lIke mums at school) and they are all just awful.

I reckon they must film everything in Cheshire and then swan off to Dubai or something where they really live - I really don't think there are women who look like them swanning about here.

I'm missing Ampika this season - even with all the drama she still gave us a lot of laughs, I feel that's missing right now.

Very distant claim to fame but I dropped DDs off to their dad last Saturday in Wolves and Royston was waiting on the same train back through Birmingham with his salon team! He looks much younger and very stylish off camera. One of those moments where you think it's them, but is it?

Didn't approach him but he seemed really down to earth, just joking about with his team and very unassuming. Totally different persona than what the show would have us believe.

It's my guilty pleasure but I'm not enjoying this series as much as previous ones. I can't stand Lauren she is a massive shit stirrer. I was put off her when a poster mentioned on another thread that Lauren went to school with her and made her life a misery by bullying her.

When I was on holiday in Abersoch earlier this year Lauren was staying down the road on the the Warrens holiday park. I went into Pwllheli one day and when i was buying a magazine in the newsagents the owner asked if I watched Cheshire Houswives when I replied I did she told me that the "gobby redhead Lauren" had made a show of herself the day before. She had gone into the local tattooist and trying to blag a free tattoo by saying she was famous and would tell people where she had gotten it done so it would be free publicity for him. The guy who run the shop told her he didn't care who she was and he was self employed and didn't work for free. He also told her to sling her hook and never come back

Yes there’s a lack of humour from this series, it’s too much drama and not enough comedy.

Though i find that the UK versions come across like the boring, 'poor relations' when compared to the US versions.

I think it's a pile of old shite, like other programmes similar to it (TOWIE/Made in Chelsea/ Geordie Shore etc,) and other programmes where talentless ringpieces are famous for fuck-all.

But what amazes me, is how almost all the women on it have had cosmetic surgery, and plaster themselves in make up and hair extensions to improve the way they look; yet they look 5 to 10 years older than they actually are.

Not being bitchy, they really do look a few years older than their age.

I am being bitchy, but I don't give a fuck.

Apparently, Leanne doesn't owe Dawn £500k as such but an investment didn't cash out and that's where the 'debt' comes from.

i think Dawn was meant to be decorating Leanne's new pad, Leanne paid upfront for the work to be done.
Dawn used this money as 'investment' in her new 'interior design business', instead of using it to complete the designing/decorating work......Leanne refused to hand over further money for Dawn to complete the job and asked to be refunded for works that hadn't been done/done to spec.
Dawn refused to pay Leanne back and wants to write it off as a business loss.....even though she can afford to repay her.

The new one, Rachel, half of the twins is terrifying, lots of hair swishing and hands flying around. Nemina’s face is very pointy too. I didn’t realise Ampika wasn’t in it until a couple of episodes down 😳 Esther is too excited and determined to try and turn everyone off Dawn (though Dawn doesn’t help herself either).
