... because I can't carve the bloody thing.

This isn't the first time. Fortunately the DC are too busy arguing with each other to notice my medieval serving technique.

Do it!

I have a thing about meat on the bone so my DH often pulls apart various joints with this bare hands. Go for it Grin

Kitchen scissors are your friend.

youhavetobekidding · 02/10/2017 21:40

have you tried an electric carving knife?

RinonaWyder · 02/10/2017 21:40

Never done it to a whole one but have done it after the breasts and legs have been cut off. Very satisfying....

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 02/10/2017 21:46

YY to scissors.

I usually cut the spine out before roasting as it cooks faster when it's "Spatchcocked" but you can do it when cooked too.

I never snigger over how the chicken looks like a demure nude covering her breasts with her wing tips..oh no.

Haha, I just did the same thing. Got caught in the kitchen ripping it apart as it was my first time. Turned out fine though!

My kitchen scissors are very blunt, don't think they'd have worked. I also suspect I would cut off my own hand with an electric carving knife. I usually get DH to do it, but if he's not home I just turn into Henry VIII ...
