How do government ministers also fulfil the duties expected of them as MPs? (AIBU to ask)

Just watching a programme on Channel 4 about Boris Johnson (actually quite entertaining Grin), and it got me thinking about MPs who also hold ministerial posts.

How can government ministers fulfil the duties of their ministry posts as well as do what's expected of them of MPs? I'm sure they have a lot of staff, colleagues and support to help them in both jobs, but I'm curious all the same.

AIBU to ask?

Oh they do that and have half a dozen jobs, too!

With difficulty and a lot of hours. Their private office does a massive balancing act. Central and ministerial work is done mon - thurs, voting responsibilities at short notice and late into evenings. Fridays is normally constituency day along with weekends.

They have a great constituency staff. They ruthlessly prioritise and work exceptionally long hours. They can't do as much as other MPs in their local constituency, but hopefully they make that up by having more clout than backbench MPs if issues arise that direct their constituency.
