To turn all the dvds side on in poundland?

Not sure if every poundland sells dvds, but my local one does.
I like to see what they have but the stack them in a way so they're all facing forward and you have to flick through them all to see what they are. So a couple months ago I flipped them all on their side so I could scan the spine, it was soooo much quicker!
Well I've been in there twice since and they've been put back to how they were, so I keep flipping them on thwir side again.
It makes so much more sense.

Fwiw... I don't deliberately aim for pl when I'm in town to purely do this. It's just when I happen to be in there and want to look through dvds

@saveforthat Um, that's not how retail works Grin

It's not upto the shop floor staff. At all. Head Office decide how things should be set out - from size ratios, to how we display the mannequins, to how we hang the trousers. It's not our decision, so when customers come along and mess things up, all it does is create more work. It doesn't change anything or make us think "Oh, maybe they're right". It's just annoying.

If you think things should be displayed differently, then you need to feed it back to Head Office, not take it upon yourself to change the displays because you "prefer it that way".

OK just to be clear. I don't change shop displays, couldn't be bothered and I haven't worked in retail for a very long time but is there really no mechanism for staff to put forward suggestions in a retail environment?

I was in a French supermarket and a load of stuff in the fridges seemed to have been taken from the proper places and dumped half out of the fridge at the front. So I helpfully put it all back for them. Then an assistant came by and took it all out again, it was short-dated and earmarked for reduction! DH thought it hilarious, I made a quick getaway!

it's only happened a few times to be fair, but yes it's dangerous and ridiculous!
