to think a marketing department somewhere have totally lost the plot?

Have accidentally clicked on a banner ad and ended up on a site advertising the "Lickle Bubba" pram thing. Now my kids are well past the stroller stage so haven't seen this brand before. Assumed it was a spoof.

Seriously - Lickle Bubba??? I have worked in marketing, I know how many stages you go through to get an ad approved, a product name signed off, all the navel gazing which goes on about branding, product name, product positioning etc and I cannot believe that there wasn't ONE person who questioned the sanity of such a bloody awful product name?

What next - the "Mummy's lil Prinz" range of nappies? Or "Gawjuss Girlie" potties?

@PoppyPopcorn if you have worked in a marketing department you will no doubt understand the concept of decision by committee. Everyone in the entire company can do marketing so they all get stuck in. Eventually you just say FFS, call it whatever you like and we'll deal with the repercussions. :-)

When pram shopping earlier this year I ruled out Ickle Bubba and My Babiie purely because the names are stupid, wouldn't have mattered how nice the prams were!
I'm sure it would appeal to some parents though. On the FB breastfeeding pages I've joined I feel like hardly anyone has a 'baby', it's always bubba, bubs, boobie monster etc.

The Hot Milk brand name makes me smile actually. And even though DD4 is three and a half now when i read the name up-thread here i instantly remembered the brand from when i was pregnant and just after and was looking for some lingerie that wasn't dull.

So the name worked for me Grin
