Popcorn healthy snack at school?

DD had her snack confiscated at school today, popcorn from Aldi. Content attached. Background, active kid 7 yo, does cross country practice today and runs 3 x a week with dad as well as gymnastics. We have v v healthy, home made balanced diet! She needs snacks and mixture of grains, protein and good fats etc. I don't think this is a bad snack, she also had a small bag of dried cranberries but came home quite upset about it. AIBU or is this really considered an unhealthy snack for an active child? Should I raise with school?

My doctor put me on a strict diet as a child because of health issues, and popcorn was one of the foods he recommended. Just watch out for the salt/sugar content.

Hi SurferRhona, no I know exactly how many kcal and fat were in it, her diet is adjusted for her v active and sporty activity! I've just had my gall bladder out too, so have become a bit of a tracker of fat & sugar, good and bad, as I am now restricted to a no/low fat diet forever SadI miss it a lot!!

Plus I love that so many of you eat the same childhood as me!! Clubs, findus pancakes, fray bentos pies....my Mum has a lot to answer for!!! She still swears that Digestives are healthy as they are wholemeal!!
