Trapped wind, nipples and school transport!

TheDodgyEnd · 22/09/2017 16:01

I. Am. Mortified.
DS goes to a special school and because it's far away he gets help with transport to and from school. Minibus has dropped him off. Now, I get terrible trapped wind (sorry if tmi) and it spreads into my shoulder blades and boobs so I took bra off to relieve the pain but still had rest of outfit on (skinny jeans, strappy top and t shirt) As usual I went out to collect him from bus. And yes you could see nips as it was chilly. Proceeded to get a loud telling off from chaperone (in front of neighbours and kids who were all playing outside) saying I should be "appropriately covered" when getting DS off bus! Everyone heard, I'm so embarrassed. Surely wearing/not wearing a bra at all times is the prerogative of the individual?! Who is BU here?

Blimey i know this is serious but I'm pissing myself laughing at your wind in the bra region saga!! Who cares if it all hangs loose its not as if you're waving them in her face. As long as your wind blows free and you are comfy sod it, don't let her bother you, uptight old frigid arse. (grin)

SusanTheGentle · 22/09/2017 17:15

I'd go out with just a vest and no bra next time.

Better still, go out with just a bra and no vest: "WHAT? WHAT'S WRONG THIS TIME???"

ptumbi · 22/09/2017 17:18

I have put my ds on his bus in just a dressing gown with nothing underneath. - school uniform rules have gone downhill a bit then Grin

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar You are very lucky you have never experienced this as it is utterly painful. I also take off my bra when I get it. You should probably apologise to the OP for doubting her intelligence

supersop60 · 22/09/2017 17:23

Rude of her. Puts me in mind of a young -gentle-man who said "Oh here she comes, Chapel hat pegs!" when I approached him on a cold day.

supersop60 · 22/09/2017 17:24

I meant gentle

Branleuse · 22/09/2017 17:31

wow. SHe was incredibly rude and I would be making a complaint. You were fully clothed

Ttbb · 22/09/2017 17:32

Prude alert!

Redsippycup · 22/09/2017 17:33

Woah! What business is it of theirs?! I would definitely complain, it doesn't matter why you weren't wearing a bra, there is no way you comment on someone's underwear in public!

Dustbunny1900 · 22/09/2017 17:40

I'd ask her why she's staring at your tits and why it's that important to her and act creeped out, throw it back on her and see how she likes being publicly embarrassed.

kkkkaty123 · 22/09/2017 18:06

Interesting that a pp mentioned gal bladder. When I had gal stones the pain was excruciating. I felt like I had an elephant sitting on my chest so I totally get how pain travels.

TheDodgyEnd · 22/09/2017 18:12

Haven't caught up on all the comments but no, I've not had my gallbladder checked, I just thought it was very bad trapped wind, maybe I'll look into that.
Strappy top was black and t shirt was white x

My goodness she was rude, I would make a complaint about her. My dad goes to a special.school, her chaperone is absolutely lovely. Very unprofessional of her.

TheDodgyEnd · 22/09/2017 18:41

Thanks for the comments - I'm glad other people understand the wind, boob, shoulder thing, so bloody painful! Was wondering if nips were more offensive because they are a lot little lower than they once were and maybe she wasn't expecting to see them around my saddlebag region 😂. I was a bit miffed by it but actually some of these comments have cheered me up no end. Just wait till Monday when I load him onto the bus in nothing but a peephole bra 😂 xx

Yeah please rule out gal stones. I'm not underestimating the pain of trapped wind though FlowersWasn't it Del Boy in only fools and horses that was in hospital with it ?

picklemepopcorn · 22/09/2017 19:13

That's shocking! Even if you do think that what you were wearing was inappropriate, she had no right to mention it and also we all get caught short with a wardrobe malfunction sometimes.

Inform her employer (probably LEA). Shouldn't have happened.

Allthewaves · 22/09/2017 19:21

My friend puts her son on bus in her pj's. She prob get a proper telling off lol

TammySwansonTwo · 22/09/2017 19:29

Yes, trapped wind can and does cause shoulder tip pain. It's pressure on the diaphragm. Ive had six laparoscopies and my gallbladder removed and trapped gas in the abdomen has caused excruciating shoulder tip pain after every single one.

What's that about not knowing biology? Hmm

TammySwansonTwo · 22/09/2017 19:30

But agreed - definitely get checked out for gallstones. They can be super painful and missed as something else.

youarenotkiddingme · 22/09/2017 21:40

Get one of those aprons with the tits painted on and then sew nipple tassels to it 😂

I just had to click on this thread as I couldn't see how the three things in the title could possibly be linked. You live and learn. Grin

AWESOME thread title.

I'm also getting a mental image of a pair of truly astonishing nipples!

Love the idea of your peephole bra on Monday.

Totally agree chaperone was rude. Absolutely not her concern about what you wear in your own home. I'd be tempted to complain as well. The FIRST thing I do when I get home from work is take my bra off, and I know several other women who do the same. You're not alone (although you clearly have better(????) nipples than the rest of us!)
