Flyers for femfresh stuck to the inside of locker doors.
Thought a child had stuck a random one the first time I saw one. Have seen several over past few months.
They must have a deal with the gym.
Wtf?!

www.nhs.uk/Livewell/vagina-health/Pages/keep-vagina-clean.aspx

The short version, unscented plain soap for the vulva and don't wash the vagina.

Distractotron · 22/09/2017 16:55

😂I just thought of the advert too - some bloke having a rummage in his pants then looking at his hand in surprise, having a sniff and being disgusted. "MENFRESH - keep your Betty Swollocks under control".

MrsMHasIt · 22/09/2017 18:17

Ugh. This pisses me off. Why spend so much energy trying to control advertisements instead of using your energy to educate your children in the slimey tricks of consumerism. Build their self esteem. Build their body confidence. A child's parents has more control* over this than anyone else.

*Takes more time and effort than pissing and moaning though.

I'm still working on the Marketing for aforementioned "cockwipes"

DrKrogersfavouritepatient · 22/09/2017 18:21

"Smeg-sluice"

cathf · 22/09/2017 18:34

Our ancestors fought for the vote.
Our mothers fought for equality in the workplace.
I think the war has been won if all we have to fight about is whether it is necessary to use a specialist soap for our bits!

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 22/09/2017 18:39

Men's Cockwipes you say?

DrizzleHair · 22/09/2017 18:45

But cathf no one does think all we have left to fight about is soap. Rather this is just one of myriad small and not so small digs at women and their natural odour / shape / hair / skin / aging process etc etc etc. Men do not face anything like the same pressure to be immaculate in public.

And of course appearance is pony one area in which women are beaten into spending all their money to be socially acceptable.

There are also the things they play with, the way they speak, the way they parent, the jobs they do / don't do, the money they earn. I'm too tired to list any more but very clearly soap is not the only thing left to fight for.

However it is the subject of this one solitary thread. I'm sure you can find threads about other things women are still fighting for if you look.

Mulch · 22/09/2017 18:49

Yanbu it's another shameless attempt to shame women and make money out of something natural. Anyone that doesn't see how insidious it is just needs to consider hair removal industry.

MistressPage · 22/09/2017 18:50

Aaah the crazy Mumsnetters and their refusal tfor properly wash their lady bits BECOZ FEMINIZM. I saw a post on here the other day from a woman who reckoned her fanjo was self cleaning and didn't smell after three days without bathing 😂

cathf · 22/09/2017 19:03

There may be lots of small and not so small digs still out there if you are constantly looking for them, Drizzle.
I prefer to get on with my life in a less confrontational and calmer way.
I mean - really - why does this matter so much?
I think I must be getting old, but I struggle to understand these dramas, much less summon up any outrage over them.
Maybe it's because I am old enough to remember when there was still genuine inequality, not something drummed up by people with a point to make.

vestedintern · 22/09/2017 19:54

@TheViceOfReason

Not everything is a ploy by the patriarchy you know.

Hmm, a bold dissent if ever I saw one...

Willow2017 · 22/09/2017 20:31

mistress
I don't need some unecrsssry 'feminine' cleansing solution to wash my bits with thanks. Normal washing does the trick.

Nobody on this thread is refusing to wash. Just refusing to accept we need to spend money on something to ensure all us women are 'clean & fresh' enough for the advertising agencies.
